Oh Cousin Eddy, I mean Elder Davis

Im so glad to live in AZ

Letter recieved 12/30/09

Hey mom,

So boxing day came and went and, I guess the stores were only open in the bigger cities so I didn't get to go shopping since it was out of my area. During lunch we wouldn't have enough time to run over and get back on time. So oh well no biggie life goes on.
But it was good to hear and talk to everyone as well. I must admit at first I was a little nervous for some reason but then things kind of smoothed over right. It was to bad I didn't get to talk to Ben or the Colburns. But still it was alot of fun talk to everyone else.
The weather is getting colder here as well for just a little bit I am sure its back to the fact that Nova Scotia can never make up its mind on what it wants to be outside.
Things are starting to get a little better we found a new guy named Marcus and another lady named Cecilia. Roy is a bling man we are teaching so things have actually picked up more. But that is all that is going on here for now.
Love ya tons
Elder Davis

letter recieved 12/23/09

Hey my weekend was really good it wasn't to bad with the weather to be honest when it was snowing it was alot warmer. But its actually warmed up and most of the snow is gone now. Nova Scotians say if you don't like the weather just wait 10 minutes, And its sadly true. Its no longer in the negatives.
This week has been good but hard. We taught a girl named Joana and she invited us back. As well as a guy named Josh and we got his number so we could call him after the holidays. But other then that it has been alot harder no one wants to talk to us. Because they are all now in a hurry. But it was fun this week we were able to go to a Nativity which the church puts on. And so its nice to see that and alot of people attend due to it being so well put together.
But the package did finally come thanks alot. Elder Beus liked the ties, he now is convinced he needs to do something for you which makes me laugh.
Ben said he was coming right? ( a high school friend he wants to talk to on xmas day)
I will keep dad in my prayers then I didn't realize that he wanted to do that. What does he have to do? But its almost Friday which is so crazy and I am pretty excited to talk to everyone. This week has been kind of weird. But until then be safe and I love ya. Elder Davis.

Letter Recieved on 12/16/09

Ya actually the weather here isn't to bad yet. Its actually been pretty fun the snow has all melted so to be honest it hasnt been horribly cold. I will say that its been really weird when you breathe deep in it kind of hurts. I know this but yet I can't stop breathing in deep.
Tell the Beebe family that they already gave me to much and they don't need to do that and tell them thanks alot I am sure I will buy some ties. That is what I have been buying lately. I got Elder Farrance a sweet Nautica tie that I was kind of wanting but oh well he needed a gift or actually I needed to get him one since his mom bought me one.
I actually did meet Elder Hoffman this week I met him in Zone Conference. He is in Trumps zone. But Zone Conference was alot of fun. Please let everyone know MOM who sent me letters I really appreciated all the kind and uplifting words.
We were able to talk and Elder Nicholas who is an Ap and from Arizona well actually both of the APs are from Arizona Elder Stowell is the other Ap. Which is cool because then we have alot in common. So Elder Nicholas was talking to me and I told him to move me to Elder Trumps zone and then later let me serve with Elder Beus so he said he will work on it. So I am excited about that all though I doubt it will happen we will see though.
But that will be fun for the whole family to be able to do the Christmas Angel for Family Home evening .
But I am good I don't think you need to send anything for the time being. But anyways right now we are still just doing alot of finding and Gary is still sick which is not fun because we really need to get in and teach him. But bye for now

love ya Elder Davis.

Letter from Elder Trump (elder Davis' trainer)

Dear Davis Family,

You have quite the son and brother. I can't tell you how grateful I am to have had Elder Davis as a companion. You spoke of me teaching him, but it was often the other way around. Hopefully he learned something from me, but I was the greater beneficiary. Elder Davis and I got quite close, I love him like a brother, really and truly. I can't imagine how proud you must feel to watch him overcome many things in his life and then to be out here serving a mission. I've seen him a few times since I left Sackville, and he's doing well. Elder Beus recently got transferred about 20 minutes away, so they will see each other weekly. I'll actually see Elder Davis on Tuesday. He's a great missionary, and a great person. You can't be around him very long without laughing. I thank you for your note, it was very kind, and I hope you have a Merry Christmas as well. Maybe someday I'll get to meet you :) Until then.

Take care,

Elder Trump

First Snow in Sackville

Letter Recieved 12/9/09

Hey mom,

So this week was good Elder Olson like I said just came from Newfoundland and all he ever talks about is Newfoundland and now I really want to go there. I am sure Nate wants me to go there as well because that is where all the moose are.
I saw Elder Beus finally and I feel bad cause from the time I met his companion I never liked him at all and he got mad at us cause Elder Beus and I set in the temple talking for I guess 45 minutes, to describe his companion I will just say he is from Mountain View. I told Elder Beus you were sending ties and he said to tell you thanks a lot and he can't wait to meet you.
American Money will work just fine I can just exchange it and if anything I will get a little more due to the exchange rate.
The new investigators seem good. I know that someone else is out here and I will show you why, President Simpson was worried that I was going to be upset since I was staying here another 6 weeks and in a letter he said this to me." I hope you are good with staying in Sackville. There is a lot there yet to be accomplished. Elder Olsen is a great Elder and you will come to love him and he you. Lets be believing and be not afraid. We can baptize. It can and will happen as we work hard, believe and keep the Lord engaged in this work." Thanks for all you do, President.
This week was mostly finding and dealing with transfers though which makes for a not as good of a week. But we will continue to knock and pray for the people we need to find and everything else will fall into place.
For the new Elder in your ward Mom get him something nice. As weird as it sounds he will never forget it. When I was new Rob and Cassie bought me a simple t shirt and I still wear it way more then anything else.Tell Elder Barker me having a D.L. for a companion just means I need all the help I can get not me being trained to be one. That is nice of them to ask about me. How is our ward doing with investigators?

I will get you a picture of the Uncle Eddy hat or will try to soon enough. I love that hat it makes me laugh inside every time I put it on.
I cant call on the 24Th that wouldn't work we have a little party we are going to go to at the Mission Presidents house. You actually will call me not me call you I believe when I have more details I will let you know.
But its been getting colder here to its now normally -6 and snow is on the ground and ICE!!! Yes I have almost killed myself like ten times now. I am sure by next week I will have a story about me eating it on the snow. Oh and the other day I finally drove which which was really weird for me and nerve racking.
But thanks for everything love ya tons,
Elder Davis.

Letter Recieved on 12/2/09

Hey Dad,

That totally stinks that you missed the cat that would of been pretty cool to mount that. But I guess the important thing is not so much the hunt it was the time you were able to spend with your family which is cool. I heard that Jace gave a great talk he has always seemed like he would be able to do that.
Thanks for the compliments I wouldn't be what I am today if you were never there to teach me. But I hope you like the tie its a good Tommy tie and I really did quite a bit of trading to get that tie. Its not as new as most but its the one I worked the hardest to get. I guess it reminded me of you because you always work hard for us and gave us the best you had so thanks for everything.
Love ya.
Elder Davis

Letter Recieved on 12/2/09

I am staying in Sackville its the craziest thing ever my new companion is Elder Olsen. Who is from Idaho and likes to cook. And wakes up at 6 to exercise so it looks like I will be exercising more now. I am excited to serve with him. He is the district leader as well, And seems like a really cool guy.
I need to write Travis and get him a tie I knew I forgot someone. Everything is going good here. We have a new investigator who I have never met and I know Elder Olsen hasn’t either so tomorrow when we show up it might be a bit of a shock.
But the blind side I heard that is a really sad movie but that it was really good. And did the kids like the Lunies? I thought they would its simple but just something fun and weird from Canada. But everything else is going good. It snowed yesterday for a bit but didn't stick. It’s nice it’s been like 5 degrees so it’s really nice to go walk in. But yes I do have an Uncle Eddy hat Elder Trump got me to buy one. I wear those and the snowboarding hats the ones with the strings that hang down. They are nice cause they cover move then just your head and ears. And the fur ones even cooler cause the fur makes the wind not as harsh. But I got go so talk to you later.
My address is still the same. And I will talk to you in a couple of weeks crazy eh.
Love,
Elder Davis

Letter to the Beebe Family 11/25/09

Doug and the Beebe Family,

Hey thanks for writing me this week. I didnt crack all the way,Colburn still thinks it is me I only cracked to my dad. I agree we have been helped more by the spirit to be guided on what to say.
That is way cool you were able to conduct for the baptism. Its fun to see a baptism of someone who was always ready and just needed that push to get things moving. I still remember going to your baptism the spirit was strong and I really enjoyed the experience.
There is times to be honest when I am so tired in the morning that I will read a entire chapter and not even know what I read. What I found that helped me is that I go through it and highlight things that I liked and then write a word or two about it. But yes the Book of Mormon for someone new would be hard as well as most things in the Gospel. When I am out here and most of the people in my ward are new converts, I notice how much I have to be thankfull for to be apart of the gospel my entire life. Its alot to learn but luckily the Lord doesn't expect us to get it over night. Learning is a eternal thing. Just do what you have been doing and keep praying and pondering on what you read and then the spirit will take care of the rest.
If you want to talk about being out of shape lets just start with me putting on 15lbs I don't know what is wrong with me. I sometimes try to tell myself that the scale is broken, Haha.
That is so cool that Jake bought a hat like that. I have one of those fur hats that uncle Eddy wears, Don't tell my mom. But most people laugh but that thing keeps your ears and face warm, And the drunk people get a kick out of it.
I can imagine that Jared and Colburn both present some good competition for the white elephant gift exchange. But I have a feeling you can beat them.
Oh by the way congrats on the trip to Hawaii I was glad to hear that everyone was able to pull it together. Which managers are going this year?
I think you should decorate like crazy and get the rock speaker and then what you do is. When you see someone walking you turn it up really loud to scare them. You should see me sometimes my companions get a kick out of me and dogs. The thing is though when I see a dog that can easily scale a fence I only going to naturely jump and position my companion between me and the dog. I told him straight up if a dog comes after us I will trip him. The other day we did have a dog try to bite us it was so scary I froze in place and about wet my pants luckily I realized it would be a good thing to run though. But if you have any questions ask me them and if nothing else talk to Colburn that guy knows alot. But I will look forward to coming home and seeing how much you have grown.

Letter to Grandpa& Grandpa Davis 11/25/09

Hey Grandma and Grandpa,
That is good to hear that Sister Postert was able to speak in your ward. I imagine she had alot of good experiences to share with you guys. A mission is alot of fun its different. I never thought I would be able to go a couple of days with out seeing a tv. But to be honest you just seem to notice its not there your just to busy.
Actually to be honest the weather here hasn't been to bad yet. It gets down to -5 but lately has been kind of warm, And only getting to 3 celsius at night.
I am bummed I can't here Jaces talk I am sure he will give a great talk and tell him I wish him the best of luck with Norwegian I heard it is pretty hard to learn that language.
But that should be fun for you to be able to go up and watch Lanae dance I didn't know she danced that I thought she did more singing. Thanks for your letters and give hugs for me to my family. Especially my mom and dad.
Love Elder Davis.

Letter to Grandpa 11/25/09

Hey grandpa,
Thanks for keeping me posted. But yes mold is a disgusting thing. Its always in shower its crazy how fast it grows to.
But for thanksgiving as far as I know we will not be doing anything we already had zone conference. But we have boxing day here as well. And we were told we are not to knock that day since it is a family holiday.
But thinking on how much can one person be asked to endure. I think of Emma Smith. We all know what Joseph was asked to do and went through. But could you imagine being Emma you lose most of your kids at birth. And yet you see your husband heal many. You then spend months alone while your husband is sitting in jail. And you are not sure whether he is ever going to make it out with his life. Then after all this he is killed. And you are left with his mother and little kids. I don't know how she did it. But I imagine her faith could move mountains.
Its interesting all of us say we are followers of Christ. But when hard times come we lose our testimonies and fall. I myself have been guilty of this several times in my life. When grandma passed away it literally shook my testimony to the very core. To the point I fell but I thank my Savior everyday for being the good shepherd and coming after me.
But I will look forward for the John Benbow experience. Thanks for writing grandpa. Love your Elder Davis.

letter recieved on 11/25/09

Mom,

Hey how are you doing? Things here have been really good. I am upset that I missed out on Buddy's talk I remember he did a really good job on his farewell talk so I can imagine that he did good on his homecoming talk. But give him my email address I really hate writing letters. In fact most letters I get I will sit there and look at forever not cause I don't want to write back its just the last thing I want to do is sit down and write a letter.
But Gary and Flow cancelled last week since he had the flu I am not to worried though they rescheduled that night as well. Its so funny the H1N1 is like a huge deal up here and I swear most people in Canada are mental cause they all seem to have it. But I honestly think its just there way of saying please go away.
But this week has been a good but bad week. At first it was horrible no one wanted to talk to us. But the last two days we have gotten 4 new contacts that told us to come back so hopefully they will turn out. During this last week we were dropped by 3 more people. But on goes life. I did get the packages thanks. The sweaters were nice, although the Brown one was a medium and didn't fit so I gave it Elder Willis. I was able to talk to Beus on Saturday which was way cool. But yes transfers come out Tuesday but they don't actually happen till Thursday. But I sent a package home of ties and some lunies. But anyways have fun enjoy Thanksgiving.

Love, Elder Davis

Letter Recieved 11/18/09

Hey Mom,

I am glad to hear that you enjoyed Arkansas and to see that the Taliban men didn't get you haha. But that is what Nova Scotia looks like super green and really hilly which you think is nice but really isn't. When you have to walk up and down hills all day its just never fun at all. Especially since Elder Willis is 6 feet tall so he obviously has a long leg span and makes to where I have to run to keep up with him. Haha and then at the end of the night he can never comprehend why I am so tired. I always respond Elder Willis I am getting fatter and fat people don't like to run all day.
I am still laughing at two things that one Kea was afraid of the dead cat. And two that Joe walked up on a officer he is lucky he didn't get tazed or something.
We haven't gotten our package yet unfortunately Canadians don't like to work so getting mail you really feel the pains of that.
But today was a good day I was sitting in the Temple and I look up to see Elder Trump walking in and I was like what the crap is he doing here. Well I guess the Aps had him go on exchanges with them so they came here so they could go to the temple. So I was able to talk to him for quite a while. And then caught up on Beus and found out he is still doing really good.
But this week has been a good but hard week alot of our investigators got antied. So we were dropped by quite a few people. But we are still teaching Gary and his wife. So it wasn't to horrible. But I figure rejection and being dropped is apart of this life and I might as well get use to it. It just means we need to work harder and be more focused and I know everything else will be taken care of. But love ya tons hopefully you guys have a good week love Elder Davis.

Letter 11/12/09

My week has been good here yeah it did snow which was crazy and for the most part it just melted but at night it got down to -5 which is funny. But thanks for sending the packages. This week has been a really good one we have some investigators finally and it seems like the Lord is really blessing us. One of the investigators is Gary and we met him knocking and he invited us back but didn't show for his appointment so we were bummed about that. So we tried back two more times. And we went back a third time planning it to be the last and he was there and told us to come in. He then said that he knows there is a reason we kept trying to visit him and why we knocked into him. And he is searching for the the truth or also to get back on the right track. So we are way excited to have met him. Just from our first visit he was so worried about never talking to us and got our email addresses to keep in contact and wanted to write President and other leaders in the church to tell how great he thought we were. I didn't think it was that great but he is a funny guy I and pray me and Elder Willis will be able to continue to help bring him into the gospel. Also we met a guy named Renee who when we first knocked on his door his wife said he was sleeping and then pretty much shut the door, And the rest of the night people pretty much just slammed the door shut and wouldn't talk to us. So we were walking back to our car both tired and depressed when we walk by Renees house and he was standing outside but we both didn't think to much of it and then he invites us in so we taught him the Restoration and Saturday we will go back and teach him again. That night a member from our ward called and said that a former investigator who we didn't have record of called the church and has asked for us to come back so hopefully he will be ready this time. So the Lord really has put his hand in the work and its obvious because I have done really nothing and he has just given them to us. But that is all that is going on here.
I hope you enjoy Teriney and the baby. And just relax the airplane rides are not that bad just take a dramamine or whatever it is called and just sleep through it. Jake is still possibly one of the funniest guys ever. But love ya tons
Elder Davis.

Hey dad,

Haha good old Trevor always getting to competitive and offending someone but at least he stands up and apologizes. But I forgot I signed Colburn up for the Elders quorum lesson I think if I remember correctly it was me and Doug that decided to do that one.
Dax flying over the handle bars all I have to say is only he could manage to do that. But I am glad to here he is doing ok. I remember the time he crashed his bike into a car. But I am glad to here you still have a job and it still gets busy here and there.
But mom was telling me about you getting the opportunity to go hunt which is way cool I am glad that you get to go do something that you love and enjoy while getting paid to do it. I wish the best luck with it.
But get this on November 6th and 7th it snowed over night isn't that wild its already snowing. And I finally go to see what -5 felt like. But then this last week it got hotter. So I guess it can decide what it wants to do here. But have fun and enjoy yourself hunting be safe and I love ya tons and thanks for always setting an example for me of how to be a hard worker. Love your son.

Letter to Grandpa 11-4-09

Hey grandpa yes knocking seems to be the best way right now to find contacts.
Our members don't want to work to much with us so we will do the work ourselves and it has been paying out. We have been able to talk to alot of people which is always nice. That is funny to here that Loren was trying to hook you up with a girl to date.
But I am glad my mom got the pictures I am really enjoying myself right now. I have been lucky enough to have a lot of really cool companions and a really good time as well. The tie rack by the way was my trainers tie rack. He had about 83 ties I believe he loved ties. So yes he did have a very nice collection. And that is to funny about your companion. There isn't many elders who don't shave anymore it seems like. But I do hope things go well at work for you. How else have you been though?
Love,
Elder Davis

Letter to the Beebe's 11-4-09

Well what was the embarrassing story my mom told you I can't remember anynow?
But no its not all the Korean food thank goodness. Its a whole lot of like pork, chicken, roast beef and stuff like that. And every meal ends with cake, ice cream, pie, or a combination of all that stuff. And yes they make you eat like two or three plates and you walk away feeling like your going to explode.
But yes I heard from the some those pranksters that got your house haha it was pretty good. And I didn't know Doug was a Christmas light fan. But that is cool the temple has a ton of those. But ya last week I lost track of time so I didn't get to write my mom that was my bad good thing I am here right. But anyways the pictures were awesome I love seeing pictures of people. You guys looked awesome.

Love,

Elder Davis.

Letter recieved 11-4-09

Halloween was nice we were asked to stay inside which was no big deal at all just meant that I got to go to bed alot earlier. Elder Willis is still kicking my but. I keep expecting to jump on the scale and see I lost weight but to my surprise it stays pretty steady and I just go up not down which is super crazy. I got the package the ties are awesome thanks for sending them to me I wish Canada had a Ross here. But oh well. President eyed the sour patch kids and I learned that he likes them as well but I wasn't about to share it with him.
I heard Anslea is driving around and stuff like that and from what I hear you are remaining calm. Its better then the days when I was learning and you just kept hitting me and slamming on the passenger side brakes. Haha just kidding. But I get the memory cards here after shipping and everything its probably cheaper for me to just get them.
I saw two 2 gigabytes cards for 17.99 at staples so I might just get those.

But the laugh of the day came from Keaton telling of Brother Sparks. Give him a high five for me. But everything is going good here the knocking is finding us alot of people to talk to which is always nice. Its funny now its getting harder to fit in the people and knock for 4 hours but we manage to make it work. I am glad you got those pictures to answer the question yes all that trash was in my apartment. It was in a room that when I first got there Elder Trump called it the junk room. And said we really needed to clean it. Well we finally decided to do it when President came in and asked us to clean it. But glad to hear everyone is doing good hopefully it will continue to stay that way. I can't complain from here. I so far have been a spoiled missionary I have had two killer companions and most don't get that lucky so I keep hoping for the best. I found out though that President has figured out what he wants to do with everyone of his missionaries up to February which is crazy. But talk to ya later.

Love Elder Davis

letter recieved 10/280/09

MOM

Elder Willis and I have had a good week. We talk alot about how awesome Arizona is and, will sometimes for fun debate this with certain members in our ward. We have not gotten anyone yet to agree with us but we will keep trying. But this week I am pretty tired. Elder Willis is known as being two things one a work horse and two a super fast walker. So he has destroyed me in the last few days. But its all cool we have been finding alot of people we both decided that we wanted to step up and start knocking a whole lot more. So we committed to knocking 4 hours a day. And we started on Saturday and have found 14 new contacts and 5 of them are investigators. So its been a really tireing but killer awesome week.Tell Colburn I believe last I checked he was banned from the MTC for trying to surf down the stairs using his bed as well. That is to funny what you did to Doug Beebe. But yes I am still in Sackville so just keep sending them to the apartment. I was able to buy some shoes last week and some cool hats, wool socks, and I need to get some gloves still forgot those. But before I go I was going to tell you I sent you my memory card the other day so you should be getting that soon. Its got the pictures of some trees and some other stuff and the wedding that I went to so hopefully you like it. But talk to you later.

Love ya,

Elder Davis.

Letter to the Beebe Family 10/21/09 (good thing they share with his mother)

Beebe family,

Fall is here which is crazy to think all the leaves are changing and I always forget my camera don't tell my mom she will kill me. But my dad was telling me about your great house and how spooky it is. If you can send me a picture I love seeing things like that. As for walking into the kitchen and seeing a crazy looking guy. One night I got up and we had our balcony door open to make it cooler in our apartment. Well I woke up and need to go get a drink. So I walk into the kitchen half awake and see something dart in from the door. So I was like ok that is not cool I am kind of scared now. So I grab a broom stick and walk over by the door. And it was a cat that decided to come in. So yes I got pretty scared as well. Disneyland is always a blast and I am glad to hear you guys had a great time. My mom was pretty jealous of you. As am I. I think when I get home we should all go together it would be good trip to go on. I am always bragging to everyone I meet how kick but our ward is in baptisms as well as member missionaries. Its hard to go from a ward like that to a ward where its just not something members do or to be honest care about. But yes we do trade ties I have a strict restriction on the blue tie Doug gave. Everyone knows if they ask I will straight up refuse. But its really not necessary for you guys to send me ties you have already done alot for me. And I would feel bad to ask for more. But thanks so much for writing me and putting Dougs two cents in. Haha you are seriously one of favorite letters to read you guys rock and take care.

Love,

Elder Davis

Apparently His Mother doesnt matter / letter to his Dad 10/21/09

Hey that stinks I am sorry to hear about the cactus and the cancellation. But yes I remember teen elect I can honestly say I spent the entire time wishing I wasn't there it was not fun at all. But I am pretty proud of Keaton its to funny to think he is passing the sacrament now. The weather here has actually gotten a little warmer its now 10 celsius in the day time which is weird. And it hasn't rained here in a while so everythings really nice and calm. But the bad news is last I checked they said there might be snow for Halloween I am hoping that is not so it would make for a bad start but I guess it doesnt matter theres not much I can do the winter is going to get bad no matter when it decides to snow. But tell everyone I appreciate there prayers. And right now in Canada me and my new companion Elder Willis who is from Heber are just going to start knocking like crazy. This last two weeks we have dropped quite a few people. But it will all work out and the work will go on. Love ya tons Elder Davis.

Letter Recieved on 10/14/09

That is crazy the deal you got on the ties from Ross they don't have Ross here they have a place called Winners which is like it but not as good of deals. And Zellers is basically the Canadian Target. But they still have best buy and staples and costco and other stuff like that. The Paynes are a crazy funny family. I still cant believe Keaton is a deacon its so weird to me. But the weeks do fly by transfers are next week which is just super crazy to me. What really flys by faster then weeks though to me anyways is the months like October is basically over already. I don't know if they celebrate American Thanksgiving here I have heard depending on your area and the members certain members will celebrate for the American elders but who knows we will see. The food though is the exact same really Turkey, Ham, Potatoes, Yams, stuffing, Corn and other veggies, and lots of pie. Oh and my personal favorite came from the Couple missionaries who made fruit salad. It didn't compare to Saras but it was still a great treat. And honestly I have gotten to the point where I will eat anything at peoples houses really I even eat steamed vegetables. But the one thing to this day I don't like and wouldn't mind never getting again is Korean food yuck!!! Oh and no one here can make Mexican food so that is all ways a big disapointment. Canada is beautiful. Its just if your going to spend that much money I would rather just go on vacation to somewhere else and have fun. And its not hard to believe that the kids just want to go to Disneyland its the greatest place on earth. But nothing to new has happened this week. Other then its starting to flurry which is not right at all. When I heard it was supposed to do that I looked at Elder Trump and said this is so not cool. So temperature wise its Arizonas early mornings and nights in the winter right now during the day. We came out this morning to find ice on our car. It was pretty freaking lame. But I went to a wedding this week. It was our recent baptism her and her boyfriend got married. And they are kicking butt right now in member missionary work compared to the rest of the ward. They are working getting two of their friends ready for us to teach them. And haha we got in the wedding pictures. But I can buy a memory card if needed cause I talked to brother Edgar and he said he wants to go to Peggys Cove but I will send you the card soon in the mail. In one picture I took pictures of all the crap we pulled out of one room it was disgusting but you might enjoy and it might explain why me and Elder Trump kept getting sick.

letter to his Dad 10/7/09

Hey Dad,
My week was really good we had a conference then zone conference with a Elder Maynes he came in and taught us for 3 hours straight it was just crazy stuff.
But the week has been a really good one with alot of help and hopefully growth. I heard you went to Priesthood with Doug. How was Keaton I heard he got sick but did he seem to enjoy the session.
Its already quail season that is crazy how many quail did you guys get? I keep forgetting to send pictures home I need to I think the easiest way is just to send them through the mail since really I never go to walmart and its to far and will waste alot of our K's which we don't have a lot of to begin with. But thanks for helping me be out here and taking care of all of us so well. Your a great dad and I love ya tons and miss ya.
Elder Davis.

Letter Recieved 10/7/09

Hey conference was great this year! I was telling the Beebes in all honesty it's the first one where I watched and stayed awake for all sessions, embarassing but oh well. Life goes on.
Tell Keaton not to worry he will be fine passing it is not that hard. But today I just got back from our Zone Conference and Elder Maynes came and visited (I think that is how you spell it not sure). But he taught us for 3 hours and I was amazed at everything he said he was an awesome guy and truly inspired.
To answer the question though about President loving his missionaries. There is no doubt in my mind he does for the following reasons. Today when he got up to talk he couldn't he was crying pretty hard and he told us that he loves to see us and he knows the lord truly sent him the best of the best. There is nothing he wont do for you. The next reason he deals with me making things seem weird. Like for example last week when I went in and told him I could drive, I asked to talk to him. I said President as you know before I came out I made alot of bad choices. I then paused and he had somewhat of a concerned look like oh no what is going to say next. Seeing it I assured him I took care of everything but that I was going to talk about how my license is renewed. He then smiled and said that is good Elder Davis I really need you to drive so I am glad things were able to work out. But before I left he told me how he didn't care about the past choices I made that he loved me and thanked me for coming in and talking to him. But as far as driving since my record I can't drive till he says I can and since I don't need to he hasn't told me to drive yet so oh well.
The shorter dark haired elder is yes Elder Baker and the one that looks oriental is actually is from Hawaii and his name is Elder Cooper. The stuff I was reading in the video was what area I was going to be serving in and who my companion was.
I did get the package thanks so much both me and Elder Trump were super happy about it. I never got to Peggys Cove though the member had to go to work and also found out that his son was getting married soon so things weren't going good for him at the time. But I believe he will still take us I will have to ask him. He goes there all the time and I am sure he probably just forgot about it. How many elders were in the picture that you said you thought was my district? But talk to you guys next week love ya.
Elder Davis.

Letter to The Postma Family 9/30/09

Hey
First of all I want to apologize I keep forgetting to mail back letters for the scouts I have them just always forget to grab them. And the whole blog thing is just crazy ask my mom the promise I asked her to keep before I went out concerning blogs and tell me what she says. I am glad to hear your family is doing good I was just thinking about how I haven't heard from you guys in a little while the other day you guys are more family to me then you are friends so its always really fun to hear from you guys. But that was some great thoughts about praying for faith something I could always work on as well. Here is something interesting I have learned since being on my mission which hasn't been very long. The other day me and my zone leader were knocking and the people here in the Maritimes can be offended real easy and you never want to be to bold with them. So when you knock you don't be to pushy otherwise they will just say no. So for example you just normally don't bring up baptism. So back to my story we knocked on a door and it was my turn to talk so I asked the man what he thought the purpose of life was. He looked at me and said I have no idea so I began to talk about the same thing HCman did about how we are here to learn and progress. And then said also to repent of our sins and one of the ways we do this is by BAPTISM. Immediately I was like uh oh I said baptism he is for sure going to just shut me down now. But I then asked if it would be ok for us to come back another time and teach him since he was going to the dentist to my surprise he said yes. So my thought is with faith trust always the lord knows the people you are talking to and don't be afraid to open your mouth and say that which comes to you because your truly don't know how they will respond.

9/30/09 Letter to The Beebe Family

First off thanks so much for the ties and box of goodies its means alot that you guys do this for me I swear you are like Aunts and Uncles to me. And according to Bullys gf Doug is my dad so whatever makes sense now I guess haha. But I am glad that Doug made budget its good to hear that everyone did there part. But yes do please send pictures I would love that. I honestly can say as weird as it sound I teach lessons that you guys as a family taught me my companion must think I am secretly in love with you cause next to my family you guys come up the most haha. But my mom is a super hero shes just sometimes flat out amazing. I am not at all surprised that Doud did great on his talk and blessing I truly believe that the lord had his hand in Dougs life which Doug should be worried about cause that leaves endless possibilities as to why the lord did that but it will be fun to watch all the fun callings and growth that will happen to him. I am sure crazy things will happen after he goes to the temple so tell him to enjoy his break now. How else is your family doing how is crazy Meagan, Taylor, and Emily? And this is what we always need to realize about Elders there is two of us just because one likes to be on time doesn't mean the other understands how to do it. My companion can struggle with it. But he is a great guy so its easy to ignore. Thanks for your prays and so far staying warm is easy. Oh how I fear what is coming.

9/30/09 Letter to Grandpa& Grandma Davis

Hey Grandma and Grandpa,
Its really good to hear from you guys I talk to Sister Postert all the time she is a blessing in disguise she actually knows how to make salsa which is just something Canadians don't understand. She is going home soon which is really to bad not just for the salsa sake but also since she is a really nice lady. But how is St Johns and how are you doing? I will always work hard to keep an honor to the family name but also to help my testimony and work habits grow. Its crazy up here I stack wood and have never done that so I always have some horrible pile I was like I should spent more time in St Johns haha. But I cant believe Jace is going to Norway that is insane what a crazy hard but cool language to learn

9/30/09 Letter to his Dad

Hey Dad,
My week is going great alot of service lately I am glad I had you in my life to teach me how to work other wise it would of been a horrible week. I am sorry to hear about your work truck thats not good and its to bad that people don't respect things and just would rather steal. I always pray for your work and hope its keeping busy in a good way of course. The hunting should be alot of fun and training a dog as well where did he get it? And it has rained alot of the past few days here is been kind of crappy knocking the rain and digging a ditch and what not in the rain just doesn't make for a whole lot of fun. And ya I don't know how certain people can be so comfortable up there my companion is alot like that the guy can get up and just give a lecture likes its nothing kind of crazy. But take care of the family and yourself of course. This will be Keatons first priesthood meeting that is just to crazy. But your a great dad and example of faith and hard work so I am always thankfull for that love ya tons.

9/30/09

Hey this week has been really good I am super tired as I have in the last two days done 15 hours of service. Its been intense and I am still super sore I dug a ditch, then moved 6 tons of gravel and then after that went and stacked 6 quarts of wood. I don't know what I am going to do I am still super sore and dead tired. But its all been good right they both weren't members and one is a contact of ours and hopefully this will help both of the people we talked to and gave service to. I will be perfectly honest though I hate giving service sometimes when I am there I just get lazy and complain way to much inside. But its always when I am done,That I look at the work and the gratitude of those I help that I then go crap I have a lot of repenting to do. Its a lot of joy and something I need to work on being more positive about doing. What is Tanners address again now I need to send the letter but realized I don't know what is address is. Could you actually send 4 copies of the movie the Bedford elders were jealous when they found out I just had two coming. I can't believe I missed Doug's talk, And where is Colburn these days? Oh ya where did you send the package to? The office or my apartment? But other then that Monday night we taught an elect lady about the Book of Mormon she is from the Philippines and she is crazy faith full. She is moving to Truro which is a really sad but my buddy Elder Beus is there so he will make sure she is taught well. Other then that this week has just been crazy busy with alot of service which is always good for everyone.

letter to his Dad 9/24/09

Hey dad I am enjoying everything I stop and think even on days that are hard they are not impossible. I am still not yet a confident missionary I don't know if I ever will be I am more at a trust right now meaning I know if I do what I am supposed to the Lord will help me but there is alot to learn with being a missionary so the confidence will hopefully come slowly. You don't worry about much here but what your supposed to do. Which is always easy to do it because you have nothing better to be doing anyways. As far as giving service well here we do alot service not cleaning but mowing lawns and alot of stacking wood which is pretty hard actually. Most houses I have been in our clean but I am in a nicer area so I may just want to get ready for some nasty stuff right. As far as the weather here its honestly right now is like our winters all though it hit 25 the other day which was pretty hot but the nights get down to like 10 or 9 so its really nice makes going to sleep alot easier. But me an my companion were talking the other day and we were saying how crazy it is that September is already over this month went by pretty fast. But I love you and thanks for always showing me how to work hopefully work is going well.

Letter to his Grandpa 9/24/09

Hey grandpa I am doing great thanks for asking. I can't complain about much because most it would just be lies or pointless things to complain about right. The mission is an amazing thing it gets you to do things you use not to do. Like in my case eating cabbage turnip and carrots and other boiled vegetables. I don't know how I manage to eat here but never was able to enjoy it at home its just strange to be honest. Its crazy that September is already over its gone by super fast. I get along with my mission president he is an amazing guy I wouldn't be surprised to see him become a general authority soon after this. I was telling Devon the other day that he threatened to shoot me. Haha I asked him what he would do if I got a bunch of ministers from other faiths together in the church and had him address them all about our faith. His response was I would shoot you. How is that for being direct. So I guess I wont be putting together any meetings here. But he is a good guy and I cant complain. I can't believe its Keatons birthday already coming up. But hopefully work picks up for you I will keep you in my prayers
love you so much grandpa.

Letter recieved 9/24/09

Ya the jacket fits great the other day I used it for a rain jacket so its an awesome jacket. It came with stickers which they quickly went to decorating the back of name tags. The camera is a really good camera for being the cheapest one there. Its 10 megapixels whatever that means and takes some really good pictures. The towels were just hard they would get smelly like after 3 days of using them so they just werent working at all. So I got new ones and I don't need any blankets or anything they have tons of blankets in our apartment.
I am not at all surprised by the fact that Doug did well with the baby blessing. I feel bad for him cause I wouldn't be surprised to see him become a bishop sometime down the road, He smart and strong in the church. The whole Brexton thing about not having a bath or shower in our house is perhaps one of the funniest but smartest things I have ever heard. I am impressed that he could come up with that as a reason as to why he didnt take one.
Its really cool here right now the average temperature is like 18 celsius during the day so its always nice and cool out but you still manage to sweat somehow I don't know I am always impressed when I take by back pack off and my back is drenched in sweat its pretty cool let me tell you. I haven't gotten any package except the jacket and the candy. So hopefully I get it soon. And S.O.L. what does that mean could you please tell me I am guessing Stranded on Land but that doesnt make sense. But I currently have enough hair products you barely have to use any shampoo it seems like compared to back home. But here is a crappy story when I was on exchanges with my zone leader we were giving each other a hard time that night. And he gets real serious and goes Elder Davis I see you doing great things here. He goes and whats crazier is when I was told that it was my Zone Leader who said that to me. I told him that was not funny at all. And how was it eating at the Laparras? I imagine they eat some pretty good food. Oh ya I need you to call in because you need to change our stake president info to President Salmon. So I forgot to tell you that last week but you need to call in and change that. But um then I guess you can ask for that to be faxed to you. I am still taking pictures of all the trees they are starting to change already. But ya that should work yesterday was so strangely busy.

letter received on 9/16/09

For a camera I just went with a Kodak the cameras out here just get messed up or stolen in church apparently haha so I decided to just grab a cheaper one and some new towels. And no worries about the phone call and yes Elder Baker is an awesome guy when the aps showed us around the metro he was the one that sat in the back with me and talked to me alot so we got to know each other pretty well he is an awesome elder and just a crazy cool guy overall. Yes both of the packages came thanks so much for everything kind of crazy though the chips and salsa went bad I think. The blueberry muffins would be awesome if you sent them I do have a can opener so you should be fine just sending them. But yeah I need to write alot of letters I have one I need to send to Ben and also the scouts wrote me and so please tell Heidi I will write back its just I always forget to grab them but they will get there I promise. That will be way cool if you talk to Elder Keeney he is a goofy guy made me laugh alot he was fun guy to talk to. Our cars that we drive here we all drive a malibu or cobalt is the most common but I believe on PEI they drive a van I think not sure. But the Assistants drive a truck but those are what all the vehicles consist of. Oh ya we have a big 15 passenger van that is used for transfers. And me and Elder Trump mostly walk because that way you have the chance to offer help mowing someones lawn or just talking to them but our area is pretty big you could drive 30 minutes in each direction and still be in our area so its just a big area and sometimes we do have to drive but we try to walk. And I haven't been able to meet up with Elder Hoffman yet or Elder Rogers they both aren't in the metro oh well we all have sometime to get around each other. Tell dad happy late birthday and Keatons is coming up right isn't it like the 28th I knew they were both this month just can't remember the days. Oh when you were talking to Elder Baker did he tell you that he was going to lose? If he didn't let me explain me and another elder in our district started a ab competition that has now gone across the zone haha so its getting intense. Funny story though when the Elder Baker heard me and the elder talk about it and how just we were going to do it he was like I want in so then everyone else joined. And then we made it a companionship thing where both companions have to have good abs to win. But anyways so Elder Cooper the other ap drops to the ground and just starts doing crunches and stuff then jumps up and goes this will be awesome this is my last transfer and I will go home with a 6 pack. Then follows up with I have never had a 6 pack in my life Elder Baker was like Elder you might makes us lose now its going to be harder for you to get one now. It will be good for me though I most of the time never exercised when I was supposed to I would just sit there and stair at the ground and think about doing a push up. But this will help me become more obedient which is good because President is stressing right now exact obedience so its better to take his advice then not. But as far as our investigators well we have people were teaching one that we were excited for she wasn't home so that really stunk. But the other day I was in Sackville with Elder Packard my zone leader and I planned the day and did an hour straight of knocking. Which got us three contacts and one of which used to be Elder Packards investigator in Windsor and she was like this must mean something if you found me here in Sackville so it will be cool to go teach her and hopefully she won't be super busy like I guess she was in Windsor. So things are going good were in finding stages right now but its cool the whole metro is right now so I am excited as much as I don't like knocking I do like it and you see how when you truly say what comes to mind and not think about what your going to say how it can make the people more interested in what you have to teach them about. Tell Doug and Amanda thanks alot for the money that is really cool of them. I love you guys all tons and hope everything is going ok with you there.

Letter received on 9/8/09

So my week has been really good this week transfers happened I am not the newest missionary anymore in the metro the poor kid came out with 2 sisters so from what I got he is really nervous. Its not really getting cold here since you are walking you actually get hot and I got sun burned the other day. But it is cool its right now it’s a lot like Arizonas late winter early spring weather right. And I can't wait to get Jace’s letter tell him again congratulations from me. My companions mom is from Norway so he is pretty jealous. And tell Doug a pink tie I am not sure I can wear it but will try and get a way with it anyways haha I am excited for that package. I didn't get Jessies package but I got one today and just haven't opened it yet. Oh I did get your sweaters last week. They are way cool. Oh ya please tell Tanner I am planning on writing him back its just I keep forgetting I have a couple of letters written and just sitting on my desk but I always forget to grab them. But as far as the Camera charger do you know when it will be here because on the 23 of September a member is going to take us to Peggys Cove for our P-day and Elder Trump told me its really beautiful so I would love to get pictures taken there. Oh haha listen to this my hair got buzzed using a 3/4 inch guard crazy eh. And yeah that is way exciting that I won't have to get a SR-22 when I get home how blessed is that. And no sadly enough I haven't gotten any fish at all you don't get it much in the metro. But lets see my last few day's have been pork, roast, and some more roast. But the other one before all those I walk in and grabbed a lot of ceaser salad sit down eat it all and then the wife came and slapped down two hot dog buns and two hamburger buns and I just kept thinking oh crap I am screwed. But I managed to put it down and then all of a sudden two types of rather larger cheesecake slices are coming my way. I felt like crying and exploding at the same time haha. And no tell people to email me its fine I hate writing letters its just I might not write alot back but as of right now I haven't been running out of time so I am fine. But things are going really good here it still makes me laugh how you look up like 40 yards ahead and see people running to the other side of the street to avoid us. So me and my companion since were bored and have the same humor cross the other side as well right at the last second. But right now were still trying to find people and make some of our contacts into progressing investigators. I was reading in Mosiah I can't remember which chapter sadly but it was the one where King Benjamin is talking about basically no matter what we do in life we will always be indebted to our Savior. The missionary joke is that when you work hard you get hot wife points right. But thinking on how much I owe my savior I realize how much I need to work hard and give everything I have so I can at least be somewhat closer to my Savior and more importantly show my gratitude for everything he has done for me. But I pray for you guys always and love ya tons. And I am sad this week a good friend and Elder is going home his name is Elder Keeney who is probably one of the coolest guys in Arizona.

Letter Received 9/2/09

That is crazy about the whole fantasy football but not that unbelievable. The jacket sounds great. Oh ya I went take pictures but my camera is dead went to find the cord and there isn't one I don't know where it is it’s not in any of my bags at all so I guess no pictures oh well. And no I haven't gotten my haircut yet because Elder Packard one of my zone leaders hasn't been over yet to cut it, because haircuts are so expensive and he cuts his own hair and does good so I figure I can trust him. Let’s see something cool oh I ate beet’s I think that is how you spell it so now I am just waiting for my poop to be red I ate extra beet’s when the members told me that cool piece of information. But as far as everything else Ken still won’t let us into his house but he at least answers his phone so we are able to talk to him there and we found out that we didn't offend him which is good. But in the mean time we decided we needed to find more people to teach so we started just devoting a lot of time to knocking, street contacting, and going through the area book for Former Investigators. Then we stumbled across one whose name is Jennifer and she was actually just in the potential. So we dropped by and she lets us in haha and says that she read the Book of Mormon but that was it. So we go well what did you like about it. She goes can I be honest I didn't read it I just told you that so you guys would be happy hahahaha. We just started laughing so hard. But it turned into from there what can you teach me so we only had 10 minutes so we taught her about Joseph Smith and the Book of Mormon. And she told us to come back September 14th which is far away but she won't be home till then. So that was way cool to run into her. Brother Muggah called so when my companion called him back to confirm the appointment he was all happy at first and then freaked out on him. I ofcourse stood there listening and thought it was the funniest thing I have ever heard he went off on how he can't waste time and needs to find a wife it was crazy but funny. But that is it here. It’s crazy transfers start next week it’s gone by faster than I thought my first transfer would. But hopefully everyone is ok.

Letter Received 8/26/09

To start this off I will share some Canadian lingo with you. Mario Canadians pronounce it Marry-Oh and Pasta is Past-Uh hahaha oh ya garage is grage or like carriage only replace the c with a g. I feel bad for Tanner that is crazy he is ok right? The tropical storm was so wimpy I wanted something crazy to happen since we had to stay in doors and it was nothing more then a monsoon without dust. The blog I haven't seen it we can only go to lds.org, mormon.org, and well our email so I haven't been able to see it. I am sure it is fine. And pictures I don't really have any new ones I can start taking some crazy ones though I guess. And ya totally get the jacket there I havent been able to find one here yet they don't have them out. And the pants from salvation army work fine they are only like 4-7$ so you can never complain there. And tell Jake his derby cars may not be fast but everyone loved the joke he told me to tell for my farewell talk. And ya the ward meeting we had to kind of lay it down we got shut down. So we got them to think about it. And if we get shut down again we are going to share with the L Tom Perrys talk Bring Souls Unto Me and then if that doesn't help who knows what will. This week has been kind of slow and depressing. My companion got sick so that is never good the dork has been sick for a while and just didn't tell me cause he was like I was training you so I didn't want to be lazy. So we took him to the doctor and he had to rest for a couple of days. And then to make things worse Ken dropped us and he was supposed to be baptized this Saturday. But I was reading in Alma 8 and the samething kind of happened to Alma right but the angel came and told him to go back. And when he did what stood out when I was reading it was that he went in a different way. So I read that and thought today in the temple of different ways or approaches me and Elder Trump can take to get Ken back on track I know all will be well Elder Trump is a good elder and Ken is ready so it will get fixed. Yeah I got Jims letter it was good hearing from him. I need to write Ben. And no I haven't gotten any of the packages at all weirdly enough oh well it will come. And ya I finally found the Dr. Pepper but they will charge me an extra 1.20 for all the cans to recycle so no way will I buy that. I just will stick to my minute made cans haha its good juice right. But the highlight was last week at Wal Mart I was walking through there. And all of a sudden I think of Brexton. So I told Elder Trump about how my best friend at home was a 3 year old and how we would hustle me everytime and get me to buy him toys. He thought it was the funniest thing I got schooled by him. But oh well Brexton was awesome so hey he deserved it. And tell Brinton laugh it up but the talk actually needs to be shared with my mission there is two elders like in the last few months that got engaged to two members. But yes do tell Colburn that punk to write me or at least email me its been forever since I have heard from him. Both of which were like 5-7 years older then them and had a kid or two already. So yeah crazy stuff eh. And there is your eh I was on exchanges last week with another kid in my district and he was saying for his homecoming talk he is going to get up and say at the end I would like to now bear my testimony in my missions native language haha he will do it to. Oh next week I will have some good Bro Muggah stories he called us and left a message that went like this elders I need to visit with you and hear the good word I just worked ten days straight for a total of a 148 hours and I had two accidents so things went bad. He is the guy that drives the sign truck for road construction haha we were like you would think he was a doctor. So we called him and he denied calling us but still made an appointment for us to drop but his house to say the least it will be very interesting.

Letter Received 8/19/09

I got to the office every Wednesday to turn in gas and k reports since my companion is the District Leader also Dear Elder still works out here so we check our mail. Groceries here are expensive if you buy bottles you have to pay 10 cents per bottle. And you pay I think 5 cents for groceries bags so a lot of the times we just don't buy them and we buy the frozen juice cans. Well I just buy my pants from the Salvation Army since there gonna be ruined anyways and you just wear a jacket from what i am told you wear like a snowboarding jacket. The temple here is really small the missionaries pretty much feel it up. Elder Beus went to Truro which is about 45 minutes out of the metro. I heard from the A P’s that he is doing really good. No I didn't get my package from Jessie. Canadians are so dang lazy here they only work like 4 days a week. So it takes forever to get mail here from home cause they never work. this week has been pretty eventful we had our baptism for Cassie and then we had Zone Conference as well. Both Sister Postart and Sister Peterson are really nice people. Sister Peterson makes us cookies all the time ha ha it’s cool. But tonight were going to ward council and it might get a little crazy as were going to address a lot of stuff. But anyways I will pray for dads work and everything else hope things are still going well they are here except it’s really hot here. Like 94 degrees plus humidity.
Oh ya my typical day. I wake up and me and my companion just stare and don’t talk cause were way to tired. Then we study. But for the most part we knock a lot and do a lot of service here. There is one lady Elizabeth who we do a lot of yard work and stuff and have begun to teach her now. And for whatever reason she thinks she has to give us food. And every time we eat it were pooping like crazy the next four days It’s crazy you can't fart cause your to scared. But the missionaries here have to do a lot we have to visit less actives which sometimes gets crazy. And we have home teaching families so ya idk we do a lot of things for the ward I just never noticed it at home I guess. But we are going to get the ward more missionary minded we don’t get referrals and there is a lot of stupid things going on right now its a good word but everyone hates someone here.
blog what the crap I told you none of that garbage. I am not going to send pictures now that I know this bad move was made. But our apartment is ok its had its years of missionaries you can tell. No a/c makes it crazy hot at night time. But idk I am told by the end of this week it should begin to cool down. Who knows we will see. Luckily/not good for no entertainment Brother Muggah is gone to Digby so we don't have to worry about him calling us to visit or come help him. And who is in control of this blog?

Pictures received from MTC

The first picture is Kyle in Canada
The next few are of his companion and other elders in the MTC
The Last is of his 2 BFF's His mission leader at home and his good friend Doug who was also a Ward Missionary

Letter Received 08/12/09

Hahaha ya I heard about that thought you would like it. But my companion is great he was sick for four days and didn't tell me I felt bad. Um food we ate at the bishops and his wife made us a cake that had tofu frosting freaking gross. But um ya brother Muggah called us and talked about how he thinks he is a 3 Nephite nothing new with him I guess haha. Sis Billard another less active told us she is gonna die like 4 days in a row crazy lady. Haha but ya I sent the memory card last week its mostly just the mtc. Oh I ran into someone that knows grandma and grandpa Davis. I got a nickname as well its Angel this lady is losing it and cant remember are name so she gives us nicknames haha I don't know about Angel but w/e. But Tuesday I was just thinking about stories of people tracking down missionaries and I thought for sure that will never happen here. Thursday comes and our dinner appointment got cancelled so we were standing in a store since we ordered pizza and out of nowhere this guy comes up and talks to me about how he wants to meet with us. Hopefully he calls us he wouldn't give us his number but it seems promising. So that night I am saying night companion prayer and I said thanks for letting us meet Anthony. At the end of the prayer my companion said his name is Max. Hahah ya woops. But today we did dodge ball and my district picked out outfits for each other and all of them included short shorts i will have to get a pictures of it for you. But anyways I got to go hopefully you get my letter soon I can't seem to get my library card since I have no proof yet of living here.

Ok first off this is my P day and happy b-day to you! But elder Trump is from Kansas is a awesome guy really out going and bold and funny so he is really good for me. He works me into the ground everyday and our goal is exact obedience I love this kid. We have to investigators with baptismal dates its freaking awesome so now were trying to build up a teaching pool. This mission is hard but we still keep our goal at a baptism a month doesn't sound like alot but it is the people are devout catholic or Anglican and don't want to change but oh well there is people here ready we talk about it every night. I met a lady named Dorean she is 54 just got baptized and is handicap. But when she got baptized she told us she saw Jesus. I know after talking to her she really did see him. They said when she came out of the water she was just glowing I am really bummed I wasn't there. She is amazing to talk to from what she told me Jesus looks amazing. But this place is awesome are ward is really awesome and Bishop Evans is an awesome man. What did he say? Cause that first day he called on me to bear my testimony haha. But I wasn't to nervous. There is only a 100 people. But here is some amusement for you haha. There is a less active named brother Muggah who told us he is a prophet/three nephite and he told us Heavenly Father doesn't use words when he talks he uses tones and sounds that is why in 3rd Nephi the words Jesus spoke couldn't be written what else oh ya the Word of Wisdom isn't true he said it was written by a Jack A. Until I told him that jack a was Joseph Smith he didn't know how to respond at all. My companion told me afterward don't worry he is in the top 10 of weirdest people you will meet. They don't have dr pepper here its crazy oh well everything is so expensive I couldn't afford it. Milk 6.29 here for two gallons and cereal is 5$ just for a box. Crazy stuff. But the mission life is good its pretty simple really you work hard everyday and the day goes by fast. But here is something crazy I ate some Korean food talk about gross they gave us some noodles that one I can’t describe the other just looked like a tongue oh gosh I was struggling to put it down. Then they gave us some weird pie. My favorite part of the meal had to be the watermelon. But hopefully we find some more investigators. And um I forgot what our address Trump can’t remember it either he just got here. But I will try and get it. Soon who all wants it? But anyways hope you enjoy your b-day there its probably what 1 30 there? its 4 30 here. Oh ya everything is in Ks here not mph and there is no one dollar bills it’s a lunes and tunies i think that is how you spell the lunies is a 1$ coin and the tunie is a 2$ coin. But anyways i got to go love ya so much mom and dad.

Hello Davis family

I wanted to say that we have your son in our Ward , and we are very pleased to have him.
Last November I sent my son out on his mission to Oklamaha City and it was a new experience for us so I have made a point to contact the family's of new missionaries coming into our ward .

I called on Elder Davis to come up and share his testimony on Sunday , which he did very well.
He is paired with a fine companion and I am sure they will do well.

The Sackville Ward has about 120 to 140 people out each Sunday . We cover a fairly large area , it would take
about an hour to drive from one side of the Ward boundries to the other. That is probably a little different than your ward . We are a younger family ward and have a number of fun activities .
Elder Davis seemed to fit in well , many members made a point to meet him and wish him well .
We will do our best to look after him . I know that he and the three other elders in our area will be out to our home
on Thursday for supper .

I understand you are in Arizona . My daughter lives in Ahwatukee with her husband and four children , they attend the Foothills Ward .
All the best to you and thank you for your efforts over the years to bring up a son worthy to go on a mission , and be able to serve here .

Thanks

Bishop George Evans

Hey I need to send this real fast so my new companion is Elder Trump I am going to be in Sackville, Novia Scotia which is part of the metro area which means every p day i get to go to the temple which is really small. But on a scarier and really hope not fact my trainer is also dl which the president said is good cause he will also teach me how to do leadership positions. But President Simpson is a really funny guy really sarcastic but seems to have a lot of plans on how to get things going here so I am excited to see what is gonna happen. Sister Simpson is really nice to they made us breakfast today. And we didn't get to bed last night till 1 it was crazy we had to go through customs. But tomorrow will be my first real day in the field it is 815 right now and on Sister Simpsons laptop it says it is 514 hahaha. But I need to go get my bags my companion should be here shortly. Lets pray that me not being able to drive will be able to keep me out of all leadership positions!!!
